Who is Mr. Extemporaneous?

“Once upon a time” an ordinary man walked into a room full of people who were anxiously awaiting to hear a wonderful speech.  This unassuming man walked in and proceeded to talk, and he told the people in that room absolutely NOTHING that they hadn’t heard before….

He spoke about being curious like a child…

He spoke about the importance of both a worldly education and a classroom education…

He spoke about servant leadership…

He spoke about how success and failure are interlinked…

He spoke about the strength in simplicity…

He spoke about the power of embracing your unique self…

He spoke about a variety of topics that he doesn’t even remember, and neither do they…

He said thank you, ended his talk, and went to sit down feeling that he missed the mark…

He was met with thunderous applause; the applause had nothing to do with what he said, but how he said it.  He was energetic, passionate, loving, serious, silly, honest, skilled, genuine, and most importantly, relatable…

In him they saw themselves, and in them he saw himself.  Everything they wanted to be and were not they saw in him; and everything he wanted to be and was not he saw in them…

And this revelation for all parties came not by copious design; the revelation was…
